I am on the faculty of Columbia University's College of Physicians & Surgeons. My interest as a psychiatrist-neurologist is in the integrative diagnosis and treatment of conditions that overlap between psychiatry, neurology, and general medicine: e.g. Parkinson disease with depression or dementia, epilepsy with co-morbid mood disorders, the differential diagnosis of non-epileptic seizures. My psychiatric practice focus is the diagnosis and treatment of panic disorder, psychological trauma, of somatization, and chronic pain syndromes. Combined use of psychodynamic psychotherapy and medication/psychopharmacology (former member of Klein, Liebowitz Psychiatric Associates). Patients are seen in a low-volume, personalized setting. In addition to English, medical care in French and German. Good passive command of Yiddish, Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese, both for clinical and forensic purposes. | |||||||
