Description:
   Dr. Gruen specializes in the treatment of depression, especially atypical and previously poorly responsive patients. He strives for full remission and a maintenance strategy to prevent relapses. Pharmacotherapy, supported by cognitive and behavioral interventions are the keys to successful outcome.
   Dr. Gruen is often consulted by his psychiatric colleagues for treatment advice in patients with anxiety , panic disorder, OCD, and particularly bipolar disorders.
   Dr. Gruen has been teaching and practicing psychopharmacology since 1971. He has published numerous articles on psychopharmacology and psychoneuroendocrinology.
