Over the course of nearly two decades as a plastic surgeon in New York City, Dr. Keegan has built a reputation for incomparable patient care and outstanding surgical results. Dr. Keegan’s breadth and depth of training are extensive in the field of plastic surgery. After earning his medical degree at The Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York, Dr. Keegan completed eight years of post-doctoral work in general surgery and plastic surgery before entering private practice. Dr. Keegan is among a select group of doctors who have achieved board certification in both general surgery and plastic surgery. Over 20 years after completing his post-doctoral work, Dr. Keegan remains at the forefront of new developments in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery. His experience and flexibility allow him to create outstanding customizations for his plastic surgery patients. Dr. Keegan has made substantial contributions to many medical research studies during his career, and he maintains an academic appointment as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Plastic Surgery at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City. Throughout his career, Dr. Keegan has maintained a keen interest in volunteerism and in medical missions. He has served as Medical Director for the Avon 3 Day Walk for Breast Cancer and has participated in medical missions to Honduras, Haiti and Vietnam.
