Introduction
Dr. Sharinn is a Board Certified general Neurologist, subspecializing in Neuroimmunology and Multiple Sclerosis. She is a member of American Academy of Neurology and has over a decade of experience. She completed her residency training at Mt. Sinai Medical Center, New York, NY and her fellowship in Neuroimmunology and Multiple Sclerosis at UMDNJ, Newark, NJ. She served as faculty attending, co-director and then director of Linda Morgante Multiple Sclerosis Center at Maimonides Medical Center. She also served as faculty attending in the Department of Vascular Neurology at Maimonides Medical Center, where she still maintains her hospital privileges. She also maintains hospital privileges at Lenox Hill Medical Center, NY. Currently, Dr. Sharinn focuses on her private practice, serves as a stroke attending at Westchester Medical Center and Garnet Health system covering the Tele stroke service, as well as does medical-legal consulting. Dr. Sharinn has a particular interest in the diagnosis and management of central and peripheral autoimmune neurological conditions, various headache syndromes, vascular disorders, vertigo, peripheral neuropathy, Parkinson's disease, and Alzheimer's disease and other dementias. The scope of her practice also includes treating neurological conditions such as facial and other pain syndromes, ADD/ADHD, concussions, seizures, tremors, gait disorders, carpal tunnel syndrome, radiculopathy, myopathy, back and neck pain, as well as others. She also helps her patients using Botox therapy for various neurological ailments, including migraines, muscular pain and spasm, spasticity caused by Stroke and Multiple Sclerosis (MS), Dystonia, Bruxism/TMJ, Hemifacial spasm (HFS), Blepharospasm, as well as excessive perspiration. Dr. Sharinn always devotes extensive time to each patient in her concierge care practice.
