Introduction
Dr. Minisha Sood is a board-certified Endocrinologist who is highly-regarded by her peers and patients. She provides excellent comprehensive Endocrine care using her ample clinical experience, the latest research and a patient-centered approach. Dr. Sood recognizes that every patient is unique and she creates a stress-free environment to truly understand and address the individual healthcare needs of her patients. She has extensive experience in the treatment of Endocrine disorders such as prediabetes/diabetes mellitus, thyroid disorders (hypo- or hyperthyroidism, thyroid nodules, thyroid cancer), polycystic ovary syndrome/irregular menses/amenorrhea, metabolic syndrome, obesity/overweight, osteopenia/osteoporosis, male hypogonadism, pituitary disorders (hyperprolactinemia, pituitary tumors, Cushing’s, acromegaly, empty sella) and adrenal disorders. Dr. Sood also performs in-office Endocrine Neck Ultrasound and Biopsy and basal metabolic rate testing. She will soon begin PRP (platelet rich plasma) injection treatments for hair loss (androgenic alopecia) related to hormonal conditions. Dr. Sood’s media appearances include those on NY1, CBS, WPIX11 and she has contributed to numerous news articles about various Endocrine topics including diabetes, polycystic ovary syndrome, thyroid disease and osteoporosis. She has also authored a book chapter on the topic of PCOS (polycystic ovary syndrome) which will be published in 2017. Dr. Sood has been named by her peers to Castle Connolly Top Doctors in 2017 and to Super Doctors® Rising Stars in 2014, 2015 and 2016 as well as Super Doctors® in 2017 in the The New York Times Magazine. She was also the recipient of the first Leadership Award at Lenox Hill Hospital in 2014.
