Introduction
Dr. Ostrow completed his pre-med training at The John Hopkins University, then earned his D.O. degree from the College of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery in Des Moines, Iowa. After completing his Rotating Internship at Grandview Hospital in Dayton, Ohio, he served as Chief Resident in Family Practice at Interboro General Hospital in Brooklyn. Dr. Ostrow has lectured extensively, at the national and international level, on many aspects of osteopathic medicine and diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal problems. Interviewed frequently on broadcast and radio shows to discuss his sophisticated techniques in spinal dynamics, Dr. Ostrow was recently featured on “Eyewitness News”, “Heartbeat of the City” and the health segments of TV Food Network. His successful treatment plans for fibromyalgia, arthritis, and chronic pain syndrome are highly regarded throughout the medical community. As a Board Certified Family Practice physician, Dr. Ostrow is a Diplomate of the National Board of Examiners for Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons, a Diplomate of the American Osteopathic Board of General Practice, and a Fellow of the American Osteopathic Board of General Practice. He has received numerous honors, including the Rams Head Award for outstanding achievement in Manipulative Medicine from the College of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery and was selected to deliver the Keynote Address at the 1994 American Osteopathic Association Convention. Dr. Ostrow is a member of the American Medical Association, the American Osteopathic Association, The Cranial Academy, and the Medical Association for The Advancement of Science. Responsible for significant parts of the osteopathic science curricula at the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Ostrow continues to act as educational mentor to students of osteopathic medicine.
